Melapipes

Melapipes is an Irish folk trio from the Zabergäu region (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) that has been making music together since 2012. The band consists of Stefan Schwarz on self-built uilleann pipes, Daniel Schoch on vocals and bodhrán, and Pierre Hötzl on guitar. They combine traditional Irish pieces with their own compositions set to German poems by Goethe, Rilke or Kästner, contrasting melancholic, dreamy passages with fast Irish classics.
