Messiah is a Swiss death/thrash metal band formed in Baar, canton of Zug, in 1984. Albums such as "Hymn to Abramelin" (1986), "Extreme Cold Weather" (1987) and "Choir of Horrors" (1991) made them early pioneers of extreme metal in Switzerland. After several breaks the band has been active again since 2017, releasing "Christus Hypercubus" in 2024.
