Nord//Noir

Nord//Noir is a duo from Calais, France: Yann writes the music and sings, Nico writes the lyrics. Their songs combine socially engaged lyrics on topics such as police violence, migration, patriarchy and working-class struggles with techno and gabber rhythms and a punk attitude. The project is backed by the label Bruit Blanc, won the 4Écluses support programme in 2024, and was selected for the Inouïs competition of the Printemps de Bourges 2025. Nord//Noir is a member of the collective "Tout Est Politique".
