Ontaard

Ontaard is a post-metal quartet from Utrecht that combines spoken word, screams and a wall of sound into an intense, melancholic live show. The lyrics of vocalist Shira van der Wouden are feminist in nature, dealing with anger, sadness and hope. The band has played Roadburn Festival and opened for Deafheaven and Esben and the Witch. In 2022 Ontaard released the EP 'I Am But My Flesh', followed by the debut album 'A Monster Named Shame'.
