Precipitation is a band from Babenhausen in Hesse, Germany, playing melodic metal with bluesy leanings and a post-progressive edge. A blend of blues, acoustic rock and classical elements lends a distinctive feel to their otherwise rather dark compositions. The group has played numerous concerts and supported acts such as Wintersun, Suidakra and Parasite Inc.
