REVEREND HARDY HARDON & THE CHURCH OF ELVIS
Botschaft Remmert And Schlukat Gmbh, Osnabrück
Reverend Hardy Hardon & The Church of Elvis is an Elvis tribute and theatrical performance project by Osnabrück-based entertainer Hardy Schwetter (also known as Schlager singer Christian Steiffen), created in 2007 for the German Catholic Convention (Katholikentag). The twelve-piece live band, featuring musicians from acts such as Philip Boa and the Voodoo Club, Blues Company and the Tommy Schneller Band, celebrates Elvis songs in a satirical, religiously-themed stage show billed as the "one true religion." Its predecessor was the Elvis tribute band "Hardy and the Hardons," with which Schwetter performed from 2001 to 2010.
