Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson, born in London in 1949, is a guitarist, singer and songwriter. He co-founded Fairport Convention and was instrumental in shaping British folk rock before pursuing a solo career from the 1970s onward, alongside a decade-long collaboration with his then-wife Linda Thompson. His lifetime achievements have been recognised with an Ivor Novello Award and an OBE in 2011.
