Rodrigo y Gabriela

Rodrigo y Gabriela is a Mexican acoustic guitar duo of Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero, who met in Mexico City and played together in the metal band Tierra Ácida. In 1999 they moved to Dublin, where Damien Rice invited them to open several of his shows. Their style fuses flamenco, rock and Latin rhythms on two acoustic guitars; the album "Mettavolution" (2019) won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
