ROSTRO DEL SOL

Rostro Del Sol was formed in 2018 in Mexico City by guitarist Mitch Bálänt. The band blends dusty blues, wild jazz and sprawling psychedelia rooted in '60s and '70s sounds into virtuoso grooves and progressive jams. The band's name refers to the Mayan god Kinich Ahau, father of music and poetry. Releases include the self-titled debut (2021), "Blue Storm" (2022), and "Universo 25" (2026), partly via Stolen Body Records.
