Sakis Tolis

Sakis Tolis is the voice and driving force behind Rotting Christ, the Greek band that has shaped the sound of Hellenic black metal since the late eighties. Under his own name he released "Among the Fires of Hell" in 2022, an album performed largely single-handed, followed by "Everything Comes to an End" and "Echoes from the Void". The solo work gives more room to his taste for ritual, choral voices and Mediterranean melody than the band format allows — dark, hymnal and steeped in the mythology of his homeland.
