Satyricon is a Norwegian black metal band from Oslo, formed in 1990 by Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven and Kjetil-Vidar "Frost" Haraldstad. Part of the second wave of Norwegian black metal, the duo helped pioneer the so-called "black 'n' roll" sound on albums such as "Nemesis Divina" and "Volcano".
