Show Me The Body

Show Me the Body is an American post-hardcore band from New York City, formed in 2009 by Julian Cashwan Pratt (banjo and vocals), Harlan Steed (bass), and drummer Gabriel Millman. The trio's raw, innovative sound blends hardcore punk with influences from hip hop, noise music, and sludge metal, creating a distinctive fusion that has defined their approach since their early days. Known for their unconventional DIY ethos, the band initially performed in basements, under bridge overpasses, and alleyways rather than traditional venues, establishing a devoted underground following. They released their debut album Body War in 2016 through Loma Vista Records, followed by the critically acclaimed sophomore LP Dog Whistle. Beyond music, Show Me the Body has become a cultural force in New York's underground scene, founding CORPUS NYC—an independent label, recording studio, and community organizing platform—and organizing all-ages, intentional DIY spaces for youth since 2015. The band's urgent, ceremonial live performances and commitment to expanding their community globally have solidified their legacy as innovators pushing hardcore punk into new artistic and social territories.
