Sublime
Punk
Sublime formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California, blending ska, reggae, punk and surf rock into a distinctive sound. The original line-up of Bradley Nowell (vocals, guitar), Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums) found major success with their 1996 self-titled album and hits like "What I Got" and "Santeria." The band broke up after Nowell's death in 1996; since 2023 Wilson and Gaugh have performed again as Sublime with Bradley's son Jakob Nowell on vocals.
