Succubus

Succubus from Neuruppin are among the most persistent melodic death metal outfits in Brandenburg. Matthias Rauer and Andreas Wittkopf founded the band in 1992, and it has barely diluted the style since: twin-guitar melody lines over a hard death metal foundation, with lyrics drawn from the occult, horror and darkness. A self-titled EP was followed by the albums "Succubus XXV", "Into the Heptagram's Maelström" and "Eclipse of Subterra", while "The Eternal Curse Of Existence" appeared on Boersma Records. On stage they are a fixture of the underground scene across north-eastern Germany.
