Tankard is a German thrash metal band formed in 1984. As part of the mid-to-late 1980s thrash metal movement, they were one of the main bands of the genre to emerge from Germany, alongside acts like Sodom and Kreator. Known for their energetic live shows and humorous lyrics, Tankard have released over a dozen albums since their debut in 1986, cementing their status as one of the most enduring thrash metal bands from the Teutonic scene.
