Teenage Fanclub is a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in 1989, blending indie rock, power pop and jangle pop. Their album "Bandwagonesque" (1991) topped Spin magazine's album-of-the-year poll, beating releases by Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine. Other landmark records include "Grand Prix" (1995) and "Songs from Northern Britain" (1997).
