Terry Hoax is an alternative rock band formed in 1988 in Hannover by Oliver Perau and Martin Wichary. In the early 1990s their Depeche Mode cover "Policy Of Truth" became an MTV hit, and "Freedom Circus" landed in the German Top 10. The band split after a farewell tour in 1996, reunited in 2008 and have continued releasing new material since — most recently "Thrill!" (2017).
