The Moobies

The Moobies are a five-piece post-punk band from the Cologne-Bonn region of Germany, formed in 2018 by five childhood friends from Neunkirchen-Seelscheid. Drawing influences from indie-pop and post-punk acts like Arctic Monkeys, Pixies, and Weezer, the band began with cover songs before writing their own material starting in 2019. They gained recognition by winning the Toys2Masters band contest in 2023, and released their debut album 'All Long Gone' in May 2024, which explores themes of school endings, lockdowns, relationships, and life transitions. The album was funded through a successful crowdfunding campaign that exceeded its goal in under 24 hours, with guitarist Marc Hankwitz earning the title of 'Master of Guitar' at the competition.
