The Ocean

The Ocean (also known as The Ocean Collective) is a post-metal collective founded in Berlin in 2000 by guitarist Robin Staps, who also founded the Pelagic Records label. Concept albums such as "Precambrian" (2007), "Pelagial" (2013) and the "Phanerozoic" records (2018/2020) draw on geological eras and established the band as a mainstay of European post-metal.
