Therion
Metal
Therion formed in Stockholm in 1988 and moved from early death metal to become one of the defining acts of symphonic metal. Choirs, orchestral arrangements and operatic vocals meet metal riffing in concept works drawn from mythology and occultism. Albums such as Theli, Vovin, Gothic Kabbalah and the Leviathan trilogy mark that path.
