The Strokes

The Strokes are an American indie rock band from New York City, formed in 1998 by vocalist Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Their 2001 debut album "Is This It" is widely regarded as a landmark of the garage rock revival and was critically acclaimed as one of the most influential albums of the 2000s. The band helped define the indie rock movement of the early 2000s and remain one of the most important rock acts of their generation with six studio albums.
