The Varukers

The Varukers are a UK82 hardcore punk band from Leamington Spa, formed in 1979 by singer Anthony "Rat" Martin – d-beat in the vein of Discharge with anarchist lyrics. "Die for Your Government" (1982) and the debut "Bloodsuckers" (1983) went high in the indie charts; since re-forming in 1991 the band around Rat and guitarist Biff has been active again.
