The Wombats

The Wombats are an indie-rock band from Liverpool, formed in 2003. The trio features singer-guitarist Matthew "Murph" Murphy, Norwegian bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen, and drummer Dan Haggis. They broke through with their debut album "A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation" and singles such as "Let's Dance to Joy Division" and "Kill the Director." Their signature blend of catchy, guitar-driven hooks, danceable rhythms, and wry, self-deprecating lyrics about love, anxiety and nightlife has become their calling card.
