This Is the Kit

This Is the Kit is the musical project of British songwriter Kate Stables, begun in the early 2000s in Winchester, England, as a solo endeavour. It grew into a band featuring Rozi Plain, Neil Smith and Jamie Whitby-Coles, with Jesse D. Vernon as a frequent collaborator. The 2015 album "Bashed Out", produced with Aaron Dessner of The National, marked their breakthrough, followed by releases on Rough Trade and Memphis Industries, most recently "Careful of Your Keepers" (2023).
