Transsylvanians

Transsylvanians were founded in Berlin in 1995 by Hungarian violinist András Tiborcz and play "Hungarian Speedfolk": Hungarian folk on violin, double bass, guitar, accordion and drums, energetic, danceable and laced with rock riffs, where Béla Bartók meets punk attitude. Albums include "Öröme" (1998), "Jó!" (1999), "Denevér" (2000), "Igen!" (2004) and the double album "Fél és Egész" (2007); by 2010 the band had played more than 1,000 shows across Europe.
