Vanja Sky

Vanja Sky, born Vanja Krbavcic, hails from Croatia's coastal town of Umag near Buzet and ignited her musical passion at 19 after a transformative live concert, quitting her pastry chef job to pursue blues and rock. She moved to Zagreb, formed an acoustic duo with guitarist Eduard 'Jimmy' Matesic, and rapidly released her debut album *Bad Penny* in 2018 on Ruf Records, featuring collaborations with blues luminaries like Mike Zito, Bernard Allison, and producer Jim Gaines, followed by *Woman Named Trouble* and *Reborn* on Kick The Flame. Her powerful voice and guitar prowess have earned acclaim, including a full ROCKPALAST live broadcast with Krissy Matthews, duets with Nazareth's Carl Sentance, and opening slots for UFO and Suzi Quatro, blending raw blues roots with energetic rock.
