What Lies Beyond

What Lies Beyond is a metalcore band from Teisendorf in southeastern Bavaria, Germany, formed in 2012. Across their albums the band tells a continuing story: "Elegy Of The Empty" (2019) follows the character Sam, who finds himself in a forest with no memory of his past life, while "Chronicles Of The Empty Chapter I – Saint // Phantom" (2024) continues the narrative from the perspective of the character Hailey. Live, the band stages these characters and the story with fog effects and theatrical elements.
