YOK

YOK is a solo music project from Berlin, started under the name Yok Quetschenpaua in 1989 and, after a break, continued from 2004 under the name "Yok" (previously New Yok/Old Yok), later billed as "yok pocketpunk (ex-quetschenpaua)". The project's style sits between acoustic punk, anarcho-folk and spoken word, rooted in leftist, subcultural and antifascist scenes. Yok also wrote the book "FUCK 10 CHECK", containing stories from his life, including his many years as a taxi driver in Berlin.
