Zerguzest

Zergüzeşt is a music project by Turkish-born, Heerenveen-based multi-instrumentalist Yusuf Kemal Öztürk. It combines raw, distorted music with protest and philosophy, exploring grief, rebellion and lost empathy. The name combines an Ottoman word for "deep story" with the spirit of Zarathustra. Musically, it has been compared to Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tigran Hamasyan and Sigur Rós.
