Bongert Open Air in Brüggen on the Lower Rhine is an all-volunteer metal festival for connoisseurs — started as a hobby project in 2014, now run by the non-profit Bongert Musikkultur. Three days from hard rock to death metal for a crowd of around 1,500; the 2026 bill includes Burning Witches, Dymytry and Mister Misery, with a free-entry pre-party on Thursday.
