Judas Priest headline BOBfest 2026 in Mönchengladbach

Britain's metal legends bring their Faithkeepers Tour 2026 to NRW – as headliners of BOBfest 2026 on Saturday, 25 July 2026 at the SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach.

Six bands, one day, classic metal

Judas Priest take the stage at 20:30 to close out a day that starts ramping up at noon. Doors open at 12:00, with Swedish newcomers The Gems kicking things off at 13:45. After them: Phil Campbell's Bastard Sons (featuring the Motörhead guitarist), Nestor, Beyond the Black, and from 18:45 Australia's loudest rock export Airbourne.

Faithkeepers – no new album, just the classics

Unlike the 2024/25 "Invincible Shield" tour, Halford and co. aren't promoting fresh material this time around. Recent US setlists leaned heavily on the 1990 Painkiller album (seven songs), with live premieres of "Night Crawler" (last played 2012) and "The Serpent and the King" – alongside obligatory classics like "Breaking the Law", "Living After Midnight" and of course "Painkiller".

On stage: Rob Halford (vocals), Richie Faulkner and Andy Sneap on guitars, Ian Hill on bass and Scott Travis on drums. Founding member Glenn Tipton, who publicly disclosed his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2018, hasn't toured regularly in years – Sneap, producer of Firepower and Invincible Shield, fills his place; Tipton only joins for special occasions.

Loreley as the encore – with Dominum and Thundermother

If you miss the Mönchengladbach show, there's a second chance: on 23 August 2026 Judas Priest play the Loreley open-air stage – with special guests Dominum and Thundermother, a completely different supporting lineup than at BOBfest.
