Night In Gales are among the founding fathers of German melodic death metal. Since 1995, the guys from Voerde on the Lower Rhine have been forging their Gothenburg-schooled twin-guitar sound – and now they're digging up their own roots.
On July 10, 2026, the 7" single "The Iron Maiden" was released via Apostasy Records. The A-side is their version of the classic Iron Maiden track of the same name – a song that was a fixture of their live set in the band's early days, but had never been recorded in the studio before. This marks its very first studio version. The B-side features "A Spark In The Crimson Eclipse", one of their very first original songs: initially released in 1996 on the rarity "Razor" (alongside the title track and the Slayer cover "Raining Blood"), later re-recorded for the album "Dawnlight Garden" – and it's exactly this re-recorded version that now lands on the single. Both versions are exclusive and pressed on 7" vinyl for the very first time: black-red "Corona" vinyl with insert and download code, strictly limited to 300 copies worldwide (and almost sold out already).
